I recently bought the Final Draft screenwriting program but have come to realize that it doesn’t follow the standard format. I also had difficulty saving it to PDF, and when it finally did save as a word document, the title page wouldn’t upload. Apparently Adobe Story Plus is free and reliable, but I would love to get other screenwriters’ opinions on this.

Super Awesome and super clumsy. I am passionate and have big dreams. I'm still trying to tell the voice inside my head that says, "You can't do it," to shut up. I'm a little neurotic, and emotionally unstable. I have a hard outer shell but a super chewy center. I suppose life has made me that way. We reside in a cruel world but somehow I can still find beauty in it. Let's do it together!

I love Final Draft! I, personally, haven’t had any issues with it. Do you run it on PC or Mac?
I run it on PC, but I figured out what the issue was! I was having issues saving it to PDF and then found out it has something to do with the printer settings. Saving it to word initially gave me some problems with formatting and it was so frustrating!
I can imagine, especially when something is designed to be “user friendly”. Are you happier with it now?
Too true! I am really happy with it now. 😀
I have a potential writing partner who wants me to switch programs…no way…not happening!
Good luck to you!
I hear ya. It’s important to stick with what works! Thanks so much and wish you much success with your writing!
Thank you! And to you! 🙂
